Bayer execs looking through Monsanto memos: “there’s like 6 months of correspondence here that’s just maniacal laughter and coughing. Is it in some kind of corporate code?”

Monsanto was so bad that after it got bought by ex-nazi war profiteers it got better.

I love the idea that Bayer had no idea what they were buying. "Look, I know Doc Frankenstein has a _reputation,_ but honestly we all thought it was posturing. How much could one mad scientist achieve?"

Bayer HQ, Munich: VP of PR: we are so good at public image and half decent at not being couchebags that we can mitigate any PR disaster. CEO: Hold. My. Beer.

What did I miss?

(in unrelated news, John Oliver recently did a piece on the evils of trailer park tenancy and mentioned Carlyle Group as a predatory landlord... and didn’t have to mention how CG was set up as an Iraq War Profiteer corp, because they were being evil enough _as landlords_ that it just would’ve been a distraction.
