Gonna run a physical-world game for my friends using I2tO, main ideas are: Dungeons & Delicatessens & Deliveries (D&D&D filthy edition) Set in Into the Odd's Bastion (and using the Into the Odd's rules), players own a Tavern/food processing plant called The Pot Luck, as well as some delivery vehicles. They must venture into the dungeons below, or the surrounding city, looking for exotic foods, and use them in the tavern or deliver them to restaurants in distant parts of the city (using modified Rumble City rules for car combat). There are police and recognised authorities but this is few and far between, with swathes of no man's lands and lots of gangs fighting for territory. WHY DO THEY OWN THE POT LUCK 1: Their local gang boss (who calls himself the Baron) has decided they need to take it over from a rival gang and they must run it for him, as it is profitable and offers prestige. 2: Their gang has owned it for generations, and now it is their generation's turn to run it. 3: There is a massive bounty on their heads, so they have to go legit and run a business for a while in this far distant part of the city to cover their identities. The Pot Luck was vacant and therefore suitable. 4: The Baron needs a cover for his money laundering and drug dealing empire. 5: Locals have advertised that it is haunted and needs heroes to clean it out. The reward they promise sounds quite profitable, but really the locals can't pay it, so they give them the inn to run. 6: They have each been mislead into believing they are the sole inheritor and owner of The Pot Luck. Who sent each of them the letter and the will? RACES -Humans -Crabmen (pets, sort of, in the same way cats are, not always clear who is master. Feral crabmen live in the muddy canals of the city, in small communities, building strange dome huts out of sticks and mud. Sometimes driven out by other inhabitants, their young given to the young of the city as pets. Feral and tamed crabmen do not interact) -Spiderkin -Lurkmen (made up of thousands of leeches, probably bonus to using arcana, and can't be knocked out, instead fighting to the death) ABILITIES Power Panache Perception (understanding) INGREDIENTS THEY MAY NEED TO FIND AT DIFFERENT TIMES 1: Sewer-rat meat 2: Slime jelly 3: Glory-hand mushrooms 4: Snark eggs (large underground featherless predator bird) 5: Inverted snails 6: Water from the Crystal Fountain 7: Devil-dust spores 8: Nightgrape oil 9: Stranglemoss floss 10: Powdered shadow 11: Wyrm skin 12: The Teeth of the Dark 13: A few drops from the stalactites in the abandoned Clem's candy factory in part of the undercity. 14: Goblin beer 15: Shadowsnake venom 16: Scales from a cave trout 17: Spine-frog jelly 18: Meat from a living Rock-baby 19: Gargoyle eyes 20: Bloodlava

Love it, I played with some similar ideas for my White Box campaign thanks to a Halfling Thief PC who was an ex-chef and loved cutting up monsters in the dungeon for ingredients! Never got to implement that stuff.

Wouldn't be complete without a resident chef who demands ever more outrageously sourced ingredients.

Palate needs to be an ability.
